ABOUT GABRIELLE
While I’ve spent over two decades working as a divorce attorney and mediator, my special sauce is my ability to resolve the unsolvable conflict. Through working with polarized individuals, families, and professional organizations, I know first hand that there’s always a productive way forward, even when the situation may feel impossible. When I grew up, my parents used lawyers and mediators to effectively resolve their divorce and they even created a shared parenting plan which was cutting edge at that time. I began my career as a court attorney in New York City where I helped resolve hundreds of high conflict divorce cases incorporating the problem solving skills I learned both in school and at home.
I resolve 99% of my cases at the mediation table keeping families out of court on a daily basis. Yet, I realize sometimes court is necessary. That’s why I carefully vet each and every case before diving into mediation–this is why also I am of counsel to a major litigation firm in NYC and Westchester for cases where judicial intervention is necessary.
In addition to mediating, speaking and writing, I am co-chair to The American Bar Association Mediation Committee.
My first book, Better Apart; The Radically Positive Way to Separate (2019), my upcoming book, The Secret to Getting Along; Three Steps to Life Changing Conflict Resolution, and my TEDx, The Secret To Getting Along is Easier Than You Think, are all designed to bring you actionable tips to help you productively navigate conflict.
In addition to my family law and divorce mediation practice, I am an avid speaker, delivering keynotes both in the area of divorce and in conflict management and building cohesive culture at home and in the workplace.
