Create The Business

Once you have completed the certification for mediators and are clear on the why and the HOW you will be ready to develop your divorce mediation practice in an inviting, non-salesy way.  We will address methods to build awareness and to attract others to you and to your practice.  You will also be certified for eligibility to be part of the Better Apart® team subject to eligibility.

Eligibility

To be considered for approval to mediate for Better Apart®, you must hold The Better Apart Total Practice Makeover™ Certification, and you must demonstrate or provide:

• A minimum of eight years experience in family mediation or one year of experience working as a mediator and you have been a practicing family lawyer for at least two years.

• Attach a copy of your resume, which demonstrates the above qualifications (degree + years working as a mediator)

• Attach two original letters of good moral character reference. These letters may be from anyone familiar with the applicant, with the exception of relatives.

• Attach a short statement about why you are or want to be part of the Better Apart® Mediation panel.

• You have completed at least one 40-hour Family Mediation Training

• You agree to engage in ongoing mediation training and Better Apart® skill building offerings
